Tech in Computers, I worked with …… Company as a …… (role). It gave me the chance to polish my skills and learn on the job more about the latest tools and technology.     In a networking event:  

    “Hello, I am …… It is a pleasure to meet you and get the opportunity to speak to you face-to-face. I am an Indian from the city of …… and am studying to be an engineer.     These are just samples. There’s no rule of thumb that your self-introduction in English has to follow these formats only. You can deviate and create your own way of introducing yourself. It also depends on what you are doing presently and how you would like to present it before the audience. But at all costs, make sure that you start with your name, and in due course include a brief about your origin, what your present role is, and what your likes are.
