Step 1:

Let's start out by creating a new file. I used a 700x200 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a white color. Now create a new layer set and name it 'Concept Glassy Logo'.

In a new layer draw a circle with 91×91 px dimensions and #734FB0 color shade.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your purple circle layer. Then set the layers opacity level to 45%.

Step 3:

Create a new layer and draw a black circle with 81×81 px dimensions.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your black circle layer. Then set the layers blending mode to Lighten.

Step 5:

Duplicate your 'Text Design' layer set and merge it down through Layer > Merge Layer Set. The duplicated layer set should turn into a layer. Now go to Filter > Blur > Guassian Blur and apply a 4.0 pixels radius guassian blur.

Step 6:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your black ellipse layer. Then set the layers blending mode to Lighten.

Step 7:

Now in a new layer draw a smaller black circle on the center of your glassy logo. Then set the layers blending mode to Overlay.

Step 8:

Create a new layer and draw a black circle with 60×60 px dimensions on the center of the glassy logo design.

Step 9:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Outer Glow and Satin blending options to your black circle layer from last step. Then set the layers blending mode to Screen.

Step 10:

Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Arial Black, regular, 48 pt, black color shade. In a new text layer type your website name next to the logo.

Step 11:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Satin and Gradient Overlay blending options to your text layer.

Results:

Unique Color Fade Text Effect.
